As a parent, one of the most powerful decisions you’ll make is when—and where—to start your child’s learning journey. The early years lay the foundation for how children learn, grow, and interact with the world. At Unique Early Education in Melbourne, we believe quality early learning doesn’t just prepare children for school. it prepares them for life.

Why Early Learning is So Important
Research consistently shows that children’s brains develop most rapidly during their early years. Skills like language, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and social confidence are all built through early experiences.
Early learning environments that combine structure with exploration—like our Montessori-inspired approach—help children:
Build early literacy and numeracy foundations
Develop independence and emotional confidence
Learn how to engage with others and communicate effectively
Foster curiosity and a love of learning

School Readiness Isn’t Just About ABCs
Being “ready for school” means much more than knowing letters and numbers. It’s about:
Understanding routines and structure
Building resilience and patience
Learning how to follow instructions
Feeling confident enough to ask questions and try new things
Our structured phonics and numeracy programs, taught in a calm, nurturing environment, ensure children have all the tools they need—not just for Prep, but all the way through their schooling years.

When Should My Child Start?
At Unique Early Education, we offer two key intakes each year:
January Intake: Our main intake, where children enrol for the full school year
June Intake: A mid-year opportunity for families who may have moved, waited for school readiness, or missed the January cut-off
Spots fill quickly, especially for Kinder and Prep levels—so joining the waitlist early is recommended.
